We are talking about lvl 170 like it's super late state, but in reality it's only 28 6300 champions.

And you people seem to be forgetting that some of us haven't had to buy runes for several years. Runes were a none issue and have been for a long time.

Prices were dropped by 40%. You'll eventually have to play 103 games instead of 76 to unlock a new champ.

We had multiple options last time from shards, to BE, to IP to unlock a champ. We only have BE now. You can't roll shards any more to make a permanent. It's all just a BE cost now.

Lets break this down. You got, on average, 83.5 IP per game for a 37 minute game. You would need 76 games to make 6300. That is 46.8 hours.

In the new system, once you top out, which will happen. So, on average you get 228 XP for a 37 minute game. We know that XP caps out at 3840 XP. You'll need 17 games to level. The average level up is worth 910 BE, you'll need to level 7 times to achieve a 6300 champ, 6.9 to be technical. You'll need 119 games. That is assuming you don't hit a milestone. With milestones it lowers to 103 games, someone else did the math, its on reddit still on the front page of this subreddit. So we'll go with that.

103 games will take 63.5 hours. The old method was 46.8 hours to get a champ.

Max Runes cost ~400,000

Max Rune Pages cost 113,400

All champs costs ~500,000

Total was 900,000.

Old system: Math is simple. Take cost, divide it by the IP per match. Gives you total games, take total games multiply it by 37 for the total minutes, divide by 60 for hours.

4,791 games to buy all runes.

1,359 games to buy all pages.

5,989 games to buy all champs.

12,139 games to buy everything.

2,954.45 hours to unlock runes.

83 hours to unlock pages.

3693.2 hours to unlock champs.

7485.7 hours to unlock EVERYTHING.

New system: Math is a bit more complicated. You get 910 for a level up, and 2,120 for a milestone. That is 1031 average BE per level up. So, we take the total cost of content, divide it by 1031, and that gives you total level ups needed. Take total level ups and multiply it by number of games for each level up(103.) Gives you total games. Take total games and multiply by 37 for total of minutes, divide by 60 for total hours. However, total champ cost is not 500,000. According to the math from the other guy, by the time you reach this point, you'll have been able to buy 23 6300 champs. There is also an addition 30,930 from 1-30. So we'll use 324,170 for cost of champs.

388 level ups to buy all runes - 39,964 games to buy all runes

110 level ups to buy all pages - 11,330 games to buy all pages

314 level ups to buy all champs - 32,342 games to buy all champs

812 level ups to buy everything - 83,636 games to buy everything

24,644.5 hours to unlock runes

6,986.8 hours to unlock pages

19,944.2 hours to unlock champions

51,575.5 hours to unlock everything

So, let me spell it out for you. Let me make it really clear for you. It will take you 2.6 times LONGER to unlock all relevant content in the new system then it did to unlock all relevant content in the old system. Let me make it even CLEARER to you. That is a 160% increase in total time, to make up for 44% of the lost relevant content.

they removed the necessity to buy rune pages and runes. meaning that playtime cost had to go somewhere.

We gained a disproportionate amount of "play time cost" than what we lost in content. We lost 40% of the purchasable content, and slowed our progression by 160%.

The only way this "well you don't have to buy rune pages any more." Is if the time to own all champions was 7485 hours. Because then the "play time cost" would be the same as it was before. Instead, in the new system, you have to play 2.6 times more. You have to buy everything in old system, buy it all a second time, and then buy half of it after that!

SO CAN YOU TELL ME HOW THIS SHIT EQUALS OUT YET!? OR ARE YOU GONNA KEEP PULLING SHIT FROM YOUR ASS.

In fact, I think I'll make a big threat about it.
