Jezebel article on current efforts to curb posting plastic surgery procedures on social media

I was thinking about this earlier today. Actually, I saw a quote from Dr. Miami himself that really rubbed me the wrong way.

A few quotes from him: “All three girls had different issues with their bodies that they’d been dealing with, and really there is no way to improve what they wanted to improve through the gym."

People look at women in their early 20s having plastic surgery and they say, ‘Oh they’re too young for that,’ but really that’s not true, it’s not about age. It’s about what has your body been through and what can we do to improve it.”

“If you have kids when you’re a late teen and you’re done having kids, at least for a while – you pretty much missed your whole teenage years."

I don't have any fundamental problems with cosmetic surgeries at all. But the way he operates strikes me as just someone who's preying off of young girls' insecurities for money, and reinforcing their insecurities to make more money.

I don't know. I guess I probably don't have to justify why I think he's so skeevy.
