Considering she lives in one of the most culturally and racially diverse cities in the world she is quick to use it to put people in the place she feels they belong, far beneath her.

That's what bothers me. I'm from her city and Iranians are usually upper-class, educated, and generally completely integrated. There's a really strong Persian culture in LA, and she makes it sound like she's hounded and whipped for being light brown. LA is SO diverse, I was honestly depressed when I moved to an all white area, I didn't have any context for being in the majority. I cannot speak for being Iranian, but I am a Jewish girl and our youth clubs and whatnot were, in a large part, largely Persian.
