Just curious- how many of us have weight issues, BMI over 25, for example?

Im well over 25. I ballooned up big time when I started school up again. I dont know how long I had sleep apnea prior to that, but the weight I put on took me to a severe level based on my sleep study. Now that I have my CPAP, I might have lost 5 lbs in the 5 months of use, my weight gain stalled almost immediately after starting use. I definitely notice that I am way more active. I used to come home and nap after school, study maybe 2 hours then head back to bed. I had insomnia due to the unregulated sleep schedule and I felt exhausted every day of my life. With CPAP, Ive been able to commute via bike almost daily, take a walk during those old nap times, and generally have more energy. I dont just lose weight because I use my CPAP, but maintaining a healthier lifestyle becomes a whole lot easier when you're not constantly exhausted. For those who have sleep apnea and are motivated to lose weight, its a great tool to have, but you still gotta put in the effort at the gym and in your diet. That effort I don't currently have due to my schedule. It does feel more attainable though, now that I have a CPAP.
