The knock, no knock saga continues….if they want you to knock they will tell you.

Yeah no it’s not “totally on my end”. That’s a very short sided way to look at it. I could live with others. I could have dogs. The list goes on and on. Whats the point of knocking or ringing the doorbell at 2am??? I get a delivery notification when the food has been delivered. I don’t need a knock on the door to tell me that my food is here. The app does that.

This is coming from the position of me being a driver myself and a customer. I follow instructions. If the instructions say “Leave at door” then that’s what I do. If it says to “knock” then that’s what I do. You don’t know what’s going on inside customers’ homes. Are they in a meeting? Is the baby sleeping? Do they have dogs? We don’t know. If we’re going based off your logic then these reasons don’t matter. “Because they ordered food, that means they want or don’t mind an interruption to their meeting.” “Because they ordered food that obviously means they don’t have a baby sleeping and I can knock on the door causing the dogs to go ballistic”. Pretty illogical way to look at it.

Literally just follow the instructions. If you knock when the instructions don’t mention anything about knocking then you just simple aren’t following the instructions. Simple as that.
