Ladies of Reddit, whats one advice you wish you knew when you were 17? :)

I graduated college with a 4.0 GPA while working at a tech company and doing a editorial internship. I still work in tech for a prestigious international company and make 6 figures. I 100% agree grades are important, but I didn't want to get into an internet fight with the person whose comment I appended by being aggressive about it.

Having been in a hiring position before in my career (10 years in tech), I'd be reluctant to hire anyone who didn't have a college degree and good grades, especially if there were other candidates who did. However, I've been outvoted in cases where the candidate had excellent experience, good references, but mediocre grades, so I think it varies.
