Las Vegas police to charge $280 per hour for body cam footage

Moved to Las Vegas last year, and this is simply a different city than anywhere else I've ever been. Particularly through the protests, it was clear that the police did not work for the "citizens". They formed blockades around Trump tower, they used corralling tactics on peaceful protesters almost immediately, and quickly turned to gas and rubber bullets as the protests persisted into when the planned to reopen.

By and large, the LVMPD's response to complaints about use of force has been to double down. And when you have public officials, who were put in place by the casinos, sending messages like this, why would the police ever do anything differently?

I don't think I'll be in Vegas in the long term...
