Laying down with a cow

My Australian Shepard is pretty smart. I've seen him peek into my room in the morning to see if I was away, then hesitate when deciding if he needed to wake me up or not. Sometimes he'll absolutely insist I get up right away and let him out to pee. Other times he'll let me sleep longer.

He brings me his bowl when he gets hungry. He is willing to wait reasonably patiently when he wants to go out and when I say "be right back" to the people I'm talking to over skype, he knows I'm getting up to let him out. He recognizes when I'm going to take a shower based on my gathering of cloths. He knows when I'm going out depending on how dressed I get (that determines if he's going to wait for me to come outside and play frisbee with him or if he's just going to run around the backyard on his own for a while then come back). He's stolen single slices of pizza from the pizza box, despite there being a 2 liter on top of it.

I once took a roll of toilet paper away from him that he was going to chew up and scolded him. He went left it and went to his kennel, which is his safe spot where I won't scold him. A few minutes later he got another roll of toilet paper and took it to his kennel to chew on. I just kind of took it from him.

I was once looking for the remote to my cable box, but couldn't find it. On a whim I asked him to look for it. He looked at me curiously, sniffed around the room a bit, then left. I kind of gave up on my search and sat back down at my computer. He came back a few minutes later and put his head on my thigh. I pet him and felt he was holding something. Took it from him. It was the remote to the cable box in the living room (which would still work on mine).

He will get packages from outside for me. He will help me take out the trash (usually a small bag). My doorbell doesn't work, but if someone he recognizes comes to the door (and he can see them) he will actually come to my room to get me. He shows remorse when he throws up (even though its not his fault and I always try to tell him its okay). He only poops in the house if he absolutely can't get anyone to let him out. He knows the name for all of his toys. He automatically brings me a dish towel when I eat at my computer. He will bring me my pants if I ask for them.

tl;dr I love my dog and he is amazing.
