Lebron full court shot after practice 4/25/15

Why are you so obsessed with FG% as bottom line indication of who's the better shooter? Shaq had a career FG% of .582(!). Amazing shooter right? Of course not, his career eFG% was also .582 because he couldn't shoot 3's, and his career TS% was only .586(!!!) because he couldn't shoot FTs or 3s.

How many players in league history do you think had a qualifying season in which they took 11.4+ FGA/gm, with 32.5+% of those FGA from behind the 3pt line (Curry's career lows in those categories) but still shot over 50% on FGA? The answer is 3: Steve Nash in 07 (MVP) and 08, Terry Porter in 91, and Mike Miller in 08.

How many players in league history do you think had a qualifying season where they took 16+ FGA/gm, with 40.9+% of those shots coming from 3, but still had a FG% of .471+ (Curry's career averages)? The answer is 1: Steph Curry this year and last.

So to recap, when you ask how many times has Steph has shot over 50% for a season, the answer to your question is every year. And if you insist on only using FG/FGA to get to that number, you're willfully rejecting common sense.
