Let's talk about ships

Blake and Sun haven't had any meaningful moments between them in the entire show, hence why I am against Eclipse up to this point. As far as we know, the only reason there exists anything there is that they are both faunus, and Sun isn't a dooshbag like Adam is, making him the only logical faunus choice.

This.

Honestly, that's my biggest gripe. If Blake ends up with Sun, it'll just sort of feel like they end up together because, meh, ya know, they're supposed to. It reminds me of that South Park episode where Cartman tried to hook up the only two black kids at school because... ya know... they're both black.

They only only even had a handful of scenes together period, and none of them really as deep as the scenes Blake and Yang have shared. Honestly, I thought about it and... I can't remember a single interaction between Blake and Sun all season. I mean, I'm sure they MUST HAVE both been in the same scene at least a few times, but for the life of me not a single interaction or line of dialogue stands out.

I mean, Blake watched Sun's fight and... that's about it as far as I can remember. I'm drawing a blank trying to recall any other interactions they've had this season.

I'm not for a blatant romance because there has been very little build up romantically between the two of them. Could it progress to that point? Absolutely, but they require a lot more growth before reaching that point IMO.

Well, to be fair, I was referring more to the series at large. I am all for them progressing to that point. Of course having them suddenly hook up right now or something would be weird. That doesn't mean they can't plant the seeds.

We've already established that (whether romantically or not) the relationship between them seems to qualify as 'love', there's no reason they can't do more to establish feelings between them, an attraction. It doesn't have to be blatant.

Like, for example, in season 4 of Legend of Korra, when Korra and Asami reunite after Korra's been missing, Asami compliments Korra's hair and Korra gets the most adorable blush.

Its not in your face, they don't hold up neon signs or anything, but they establish that Korra was clearly flustered by Asami complimenting her looks.

They could build it up with little things like that, along with the really great character development we've been getting so far.

Personally, if they are going to give us canon Bumblebee, I'd prefer they do make it blatant; but only after properly setting it up.

I want this ship, but I want it the right way. xD
