Because it is reality. There would be no reaction without the instigation. You apparently expect that Democrats should be all pure and all knowing. That is not how people are. They see -- accurately -- that Donald Trump is a danger to free speech, and they react by supporting the corporate media.

There are serious differences in funding amounts, timing, and sources. Besides, the billionaire oligarchs have developed an "independent" existence as large as the parties and they support Republicans almost entirely.

Yes. And once Republicans have destroyed their reputations to a point where they have no chance at all, as in 1992 and 2008, they rush to fund Democrats temporarily to subvert their agenda. Which party voted 5-4 for Citizens United? Which has consistently opposed it? Real differences.

Your bottom line is the classic "Both parties are the same" or "both parties are equally bad." This is a reactionary view that disfavors change. Lay down and concede to the oligarchy.

If you don't think change can be made, there won't be any. If you don't think picking one person over another in a contest makes a difference, then you have no interest in democracy or anything like it.
