I have nothing against paintball or airsoft or whatever. I get the adrenaline rush of pretend warfare. But that adrenaline rush isn't diminished at all if you remove some of the cosplay aspect.

I have nothing against video games or movies or whatever. I get the enjoyment of pretending stuff. But that enjoyment isn't diminished at all if you remove some of the wrongthink aspect and keep the core intact.

Resident Evil could have exactly the same core mechanics, but instead of zombies and weapons you could use squirt guns and pillows against fuzzy bunnyrabbits. The game would be literally the same in terms of the adrenaline rush of trying to tickle that bunnyrabbit with your feather before he tickles you with his tail.
