Lil Dicky Laughs His Way To #1 Rap Album

I'm curious though, I mean I've only heard a little bit of his music, but well, he doesn't seem to have a lot of music or have been in the scene long? I could be wrong, totally open to corrections. What I'm curious about though, is how someone relatively new without anything major to show for himself was able to get Snoop to do a video with him like that? I mean, I guess I'm skeptical now, because if Hot Pockets can pay Snoop enough to do a music video with them, I guess I could believe anyone could?

That being said, is there actually anything to show why Snoop would be in this dudes corner, for reasons other than money? If not, I mean, this guy is the rappers version of hot pockets is he not...?

I just, I dunno, I can't watch reality television. It's just, painful. When shit is incredibly scripted, and fake, and paid for... Especially when it's played off as natural and real, I can't dig it. I mean hey, if you own up to your bullshit that's one thing, I can feel that, because you're not trying to pull one over on anyone.

Anyway, just my two cents. I could be totally off, but the only impressive thing I've seen from him is that "freestyle" that isn't really a freestyle and was just an unreleased track. ( Again with the whole fake pretending to be legit thing, although to be fair that "freestyle" place encourages people to have written "freestyles" which isn't really what a freestyle is unless you're talking to those guys... I mean hey, people could start arguing that with me, but a freestyle is a freestyle is a freestyle and you can try to rewrite the meaning of things but really you can't... If they had advertised it as a written freestyle that would be great, but they don't, they simply mention it from time to time and you have to be a follower of the program to know that. )
