Along with some positive social changes; the hippy era had some negative side effects. It was the beginning of an overly relaxed attitude, which later developed into a keen interest of the individual and freedom of personal expression rather than say, community and civil duty. This can be seen by the dress codes and hair styles of the day and also the political motivations against the “old order”, many of whom fought in the war to preserve their way of life in their respective countries and where forced to adapt... Unfortunately you can see some negative aspects of this in the form of public indecency, vandalism and a lack of responsibility within certain communities to keep their neighbourhoods safe and clean
