I find the "non-cheating" designation kind of stupid, tbh. It's incredibly subjective.
I think scythe harvesting and get dressed are two fantastic mods, but they both change game mechanics. That's cheating, technically. Lookup anything is one of the most popular mods, but it's like having the wiki in-game; clearly cheating.
That said, some great mods to consider are:
