Gengis Khan is almost adored in terms of historical figures because of his success and ruthlessness
Ghenghis Khan is adored because despite his very many great flaws he brought a form of egalitarianism never before seen in the pan-asian world, within a single generation.
I don't get people like you. Name one person who DOESN'T have flaws. I don't know if you think you're sounding smart or what, but just about every great person in history has a dark side, because they are fucking human. This isn't new.
What's so hard about recognizing both the good and the bad a person did? For example, it's not impossible to idolize Abraham Lincoln as a statesmen and public servant and still think it his buying of newspapers to print manufactured praise about him during his campaign was morally reprehensible. People are complicated, fuck.
