A group of mostly men were playing badminton at Harrow Leisure Centre yesterday when a misunderstanding led to a member of staff mistakenly moving their net.

After realizing his error, the employee moved it back but the situation seemingly escalated, leading to a confrontation between him and the group in which they yelled back and forth. The group of men claiming that the member of staff initially became aggressive causing them to ask for the manager, but he returned to the court to confront them. He shoves them, then hits someone, triggering the brawl that left one player covered in blood on the floor.

A spokesperson from the Metropolitan Police said: "We are aware of a video appearing to show an assault at Harrow Leisure Centre. The incident was not reported to police at the time but officers are carrying out further enquiries to establish the circumstances."
