I was falsely banned. Believe it or not, I really don't care, but the detection is flawed in some way or another. Wasn't using whatever OverWatch is. Had my account since season 1, been relatively the same rank for the longest time, spent thousands of dollars and hours on the game. Honestly I'm not crazy mad or anything, just disappointed, annoyed and sad/scared.
Disappointed because I know for a fact I didn't cheat, and I can't even be given a clear explanation as to why. There's no ability for me to work with Riot to maybe identify how the ban happened so I could provide an explanation. Spoke to support, account was looked at, and apparently it was clear there was 3rd party program use. No further information given. It's embarrassing when you have to explain to all your friends that you were banned for 3rd party program usage. People immediately assume the worst and give no second thought, and I don't blame them because I would too. My friends actually laughed and didn't think I was being serious, because I miss a large number of my skill shots.
Annoyed because I'm left with nothing but a vague response that I'm supposed to trust. Imagine someone taking something close to you away while providing no other explanation other than "you did it, we can't tell you why, but you did it." It also doesn't help that the responses you're given are completely automated, so if you don't do any research into how their support system works, you're not likely to receive a response. You can't bump a post to add new information otherwise you'll be bumped to the bottom of the queue, a different person answers almost every time, and you finally get transferred to a "player behaviour specialist" after battling with the automated responses. It just doesn't seem like they care.
Sad/scared because I lost my account, and I wouldn't want to imagine how many others are in the same situation as me right now. League is/was a huge part of my past time, and I've met some of my closest friends through league. Now that bridge is essentially gone.
Again, believe me or not that's up to you. Just think of how you'd feel if you were in mine or someone else's shoes, not too many people believe you and it's disheartening. The ban wave may be 80%, 90% or 99% accurate, it still doesn't change the fact that there will still be false bans.
