You weren't in a place to cut to begin with. It's how the saying goes. You order shredded but you get skinny. I used to be 225 and cut down to 150ish pounds and was skinny. This being at 6'2 so it looked horrible on my frame. I had quit for 9 ish months but started lifting again. When you cut significant weight off your body and haven't lifted before, or never trained hard in the gym. You get a compounding effect of muscle memory and newbie gains. So much so to when I started eating in a surplus going from 150ish to 170, I'm literally leaner at 170. I may not be massive but I know one thing, you don't fix skinny fat by getting skinny, you gotta hit the gym, give you body sufficient amount of protein and calories to grow. Once you build your base, then cut.
