Madison, Wisconsin first city in nation to outlaw discrimination against atheists

You live in madison, and if you were a naturalized citizen born in Ireland, you wouldn't be saying

So wait, because I'm aware that the Irish were considered "dirty immigrants" pretty much through World War II, I'm not a naturalized citizen born in Ireland? Amazing the leaps of logic you make.

You still haven't told me why discrimination should be legal.

Yes, I did. You quoted it. Discrimination is a natural process that human beings do every day in decision-making. As I said, outlawing discrimination is like outlawing hurting people's feelings. Discrimination is an adversity that EVERYONE suffers on a regular basis if they aren't hermits living in a cabin. It's what we use in order to figure out all the different ways that people are assholes, and how to spot them before they can fuck us over. It's part of life. I don't believe ANYONE should be legally protected from discrimination. It's a bitch, but it happens. Who represents my neighbor with Crohn's Disease that's getting kicked out of his apartment because they smelled weed near his door? Why isn't the use of marijuana as medicine a protected group? One could argue that's not a "choice", given his chronic illness. Adversity is what hardens us, gives us experience, and teaches us how to dodge dipshits before they come at us too hard.

The whole concept of outlawing discrimination is a slippery slope that has been used to pervert the law by creating entitled classes, and I'm glad Indiana has the guts to fight for true equality - equality of opportunity, not of result. One need only consult Orwell's Animal Farm on the concept of making some animals "more equal than others".
