The first thing I said to my father today was "jeez these guys must have real good jobs to be able to call off work, dad could you get tommorow off to protest?"
He looked at me like I suddenly turned into a taco and said.
"Fuck no, I have to work only protest we've ever been to is to a union rally and that was on a weekend"
I'm unsure if being black makes things worse, I'm mexican so maybe I'm at the halfway point.

Fucking gays too those fuckers move in and suddenly it's gangbusters for fucking property value and low crime rates. Apathy, I've been to black neighborhoods and mexican ones and white ones. There's nothing magical or even something akin to having a leg up in certain neighborhoods simply people giving a flying fuck as to what happens.
Compton is shitty, small houses everyone has a fence and theres not a lot of people walking around. But the crime rate has shrunk and overall it's a mildly decent place to live. Lots of black people in compton, remember this.
San Bernardino, lots of blacks and mexicans with a decent little population of white people too. Absolute shithole, fucking hate San Bernardino you know you're in a bad neighborhood when the cops don't slow down at all. I remember the trayvon protests we're happening and they parked the citys armored truck at the urban shoe store.
I don't think having black people makes a neighborhood better or worse I think it all boils down to a community giving a fuck.
If there small towns are being raped by the police and sodmized with chicken shit tickets, theres a simple fix. Go down to supervisors and city council and watch them. Find out when there elections are up and run against them. Fuck get people together and form a lobbying group, stop the chicken shit tickets or will vote you out. Black people aren't bad, white people aren't magical I'm pretty sure the gays are not mythical either. I think it's about giving a dam and trying to fix problems instead of ignorning them. I've experienced racism and it's shaped my view of cops but they aren't to blame they have always disliked black people and mexicans and whites and gays. Cops aren't magical either if you don't bend over backwards for them they will hurt you or kill you. Why, because there people who get shit on daily and it just takes one wrong state and one second of not obeying before they'll beat the shit out of you.
