Man wrongly jailed for 32 days after wife's false rape accusation sues government for $500,000

Honestly, this, and police internal affairs, could be a branch of the FBI.

could be a branch of the FBI.

branch of the FBI.

FBI

No. Just no on the branch of police.

I disagree but my reason is that this would be below them, they're focused on Cyber crime, pedophiles, money laundering, terrorism, why should/would they, they'd most likely hop onto high profile cases anyways? I propose an alternative solution, every state has a police certifying agency, so why not gather retired or former police officers/federal agents for internal investigations into local departments within the state, completely separated from these departments. I'd also like to point out Internal Affairs does not fuck around, they usually answer directly to the Chief/Sheriff and some agency's policies are to have a different agency investigate these situations whether it be the county or state law enforcement agency
