Stereotypical Oregonians think all Californians are stereotypical valley girls regardless of gender, basically.
Personally I do my best to not perpetuate the "Californians go home" stereotype of Oregonians, but I know where people are coming from. Most (almost all) of the Californians I know are swell people though.
But there's one guy who fits the bill of the Californian stereotype perfectly. This one guy and I understood what people in this sub and other Oregon subs have been talking about. This freaking guy. I can't get enough of him.
"Why does it rain all the time? It's hardly ever sunny. In San Diego it's sunny even in the winter."
"It's so small here. There's nothing to do here. This place is so boring. I can't even go paintballing." (I tell him a local paintball place, 15 minutes away) "How am I supposed to get there? I don't have a car." (tell him to carpool or bike) "It'll probably suck anyway. Won't be anything like the place I used to go to."
"Why is everyone a homebody around here? There's no nightlife." (tell him this is a residential neighborhood; the nightlife is a few miles away) "Yeah but all the buildings are short. It won't be any fun."
"You guys should come to San Diego. There are hot girls everywhere. You'll like it so much more than here."
"We're not even close to the beach! Where am I supposed to ride my longboard?"
"Is everyone poor here? I see a bunch of people wearing generic brands every day like that's normal or something."
"Wait, so Thai people are from Thailand, not Taiwan?"
"If fish drink water, wouldn't the level of the ocean go down?"
"This food's pretty killer. Oh, that's slang for like, 'awesome.'"
