Marjorie Taylor Greene says she’s working on a federal “Don’t Say Gay” bill | "I will do anything I can to protect kids," she said. Protect them from hearing that LGBTQ people exist?

School is not the only place people can learn about the existence of LGBTQ individuals. Family and friends and several forms of media are great resources for this. I do not feel comfortable allowing the school to teach about these topics when I am not there myself with my child. I will repeat: it is the parent’s responsibility to discuss these topics with their children. Not the government. Not the schools.

I’d appreciate if you didn’t sling out insults, as I have not done so myself. I don’t think any of my family members whom are part of the LGBTQ would deem me as a disrespectful person. I have my opinions, but I do not belittle individuals.

Children are extremely malleable, and I don’t think we should teach them about such topics until they are capable of truly understanding. We would be much better off simply asking everyone to treat others with respect and be nice, than force feeding this information down everyone’s throat.
