How authoritarian are laws these days?

And I know most of Oz thinks racism is not a major issue - and I also think it's better than most of Europe for example.

You have 71% of Labor voters and 88% of Greens voters thinking racism is a big problem in Australia versus 40% Lib. (Source: https://scanloninstitute.org.au/mapping-social-cohesion-2021/). So maybe political position is a big factor behind it.

I think the big issue has been that of course an Anglo is going to see (not face) others face racial discrimination much less because they aren't the direct target - and I'm not talking casual racism, I mean things like HRs dumping the applications of 'ethnics' and anything from bogans shouting fuck off we're full to the COVID-spurred verbal attacks by usually Karens.

Again, I don't really buy the idea that Oz is that racist, but I think it's vastly underestimated by those who aren't the usual targets, because they obviously don't spend every hour being them, so they see it much less frequently.
