Matt Smith speaks out on Steven Moffat's Doctor Who exit: "He's done so much for it and so much for me"

I dont hate Moffat, and im a new viewer. I dont know how Dr.Who is supposed to "feel" like since i have not watched the old series at all, but i feel that after Tennant the problem was the writing, and have been a problem since. I actually liked all the doctors, they all bring something unique, and what is the "right" way to play something when you have a modern take on it anyway? I want to watch each actor bring their thing to the table, which they all have, and not do the same old thing that has been done over and over. But as i said, the problem is the writing, with Tennant we had so many great episodes, my favorite being the one in space when they are trapped and the monster bangs on the spaceship from the outside (sorry, cant remember the name), you dont even see any monster, its all about he actors making it great and its one of my favorites with tennant. With smith the one where Amy is stuck in that "white world" forever growing old, is also a good one. I mean, theres so many good episodes that he has been involved in, so i dont hate him at all. But when you keep writing the same show for years on, you are bound to have better and worse episodes, and sadly i think that the writing really has gone down in quality, so bringing someone new with a new take is just gonna be a good thing for the show, i think. Just like bringing in new doctors is refreshing and intresting.

People can nit-pick all day long, fandom is always like that, but for people like me, who dont care for the old series and never will watch it, i have found Doctor Who been good for so many years now, but i think its time for Moffat to leave to let someone else try it out, and i really do believe that he gets to much crap, he made the show what it is today, and it wouldnt been talked about as much if he didnt made it what it is, so people should give him that at least.
