McDonald's franchisees say the brand is in a 'deep depression' and 'facing its final days'

TIL Pizza hut is considered fast food and not just a place to get pizza. Although I can see how it would be considered fast food, but in my opinion it wouldn't be placed in the same category as McDonalds or Burger King.

Fast Food can be placed in two different catagories in my mind. You have the traditional Fast Food and then you have the Classy(for lack of better word) Fast Food.

I say fast food is, McDonalds, Taco Bell, Burger King, KFC, Jack N the Box, Carls Jr, Subway and etc.

The Classy fast food would be Chipotle, Rubios, In N Out, Smash Burger, 5 guys, Chick-fil-a, "Bertos"(real mexican food) and etc.

If pizza places like, Pizza Hut and Dominos, are considered fast food, I put them in the classy section, due to time from order to arrival and cost.

There is an obvious division of quality between the Traditional Fast Food and the Classier fast food. Don't get me wrong they both aren't good for you to eat regularly, but there is a difference. It generally takes longer to get your food, but the quality in taste and preparation is far better, at Classier Fast Food joints. The interior of the Classy joints are far much cleaner and customer service always seems to be better. Plus the food fills you up.

With traditional fast food, you want food and you want it now, quality differs between location, the food never fills you up longer than an hour, sanitation differs between location. Oh and some include a playground for your kids.

The classier places used to cost a more than traditional places, but since traditional places have seen such a drop in consumers, both Classy and Traditional cost around the same now.

Now over the last decade or so a few Traditional Fast Food places have tried to go Classy and have failed miserably, I'm looking at you Jack N the Box. You can change your logo, remodel your location, and put Chipotle sauce on your burgers, but the food still takes, 2 minutes to make, taste list cardboard soaked in mayonnaise and whatever other condiment you choose.

10 years ago I would have had Wendy's in the Classy catagory, but their quality has fallen greatly, KFC as well. Rubios has climbed their way out of the Traditional category into the Classy.

I have a rule that If I'm going to eat fast food, I will only eat at the Classy Fast Food places, not the Traditional.
