Me thinks I may retire after this year.

It's funny i just had a conversation with a friend who is there this year (and me and my gf aren't) about something kinda similar. They're thinking of going every other year for a while, and spending the $$ on new experiences or different festivals instead next year. I definitely miss it this year, and I'm only a few years into edc, so I'm not at your level yet. Next year I plan to head back to edc, and I'm wondering if skipping a year will make it feel fresh. And as for A&B (who I love) I do feel like their festival sets have been very similar since the last album came out. I'd love to see them just do something unexpected and play a set of music they've never played before (even if that means skipping some A&B standards).

For those trying to avoid feeling like OP, another way I keep it fresh it to focus on different things. My first two years I went with a friend, and we were so focused on fitting in as many artists as we could. My 3rd year was with my current gf, and I really took a step back and focused on the whole festival, including doing some rides, seeing more art, and going with the flow of things. Also skipping artists I've seen multiple times, especially if they're sets seem samey (did this with Hardwell and was able to see some other awesome artists). Every festival I still have some surprises that catch my ear and I become a new fan :)

Best of luck and maybe a skipped year or two will bring back the feeling you're looking for :)
