Meanwhile in cryptocurrency land....

This is a pretty ignorant post. And the comments in here reflect that. January and February of every year, are generally where the dips in the market occur. This is not news. Towards the end of each year, as we draw towards the holidays, the market value [generally] rises to a higher percentage than that of the previous year. That's 101 stuff.

As with any investment, crypto currency has its risks. But if you look at the historical value of the Top 10 crypto currencies over the past 5 years, you'll see that there has been a healthy gain over time. Some examples:

Bitcoin: 2013 value: $130, 2018 value: $10,000

Ethereum: 2015 value: $1.50, 2018 value: $1000

Litecoin: 2014 value: $2.00, 2018 value: $150

There are many many others seeing similar grow. But putting their FIAT values aside, for those who understand crypto currency, they realise it is one of the most (if not the most) secure ways of completing a financial transaction. Banks, vendors, and buyers/sellers across the world are also coming to realise this and crypto currencies are gaining fast growth and adoption. I assert crypto currency will be the next big leap in the money market (similar to when credit/debit cards were introduced).
