Men of reddit, what myth about men is 100% untrue and infuriates you when you hear it ?

Not to horrify you any further but... have also had people trying taking one of my nephews (sister's kid) from me. If my brother looks like a redneck, I apparently fit the "next school shooter" look. Big dude with pony tail, goatee, long black leather trench coat, and resting "gonna kill you" look on my face. Unlike the racial difference with my brother and his daughter, my sister's kids look more like they are mine than hers. Like take our elementary school pictures, mix them up, and most people wouldn't be able to tell which was which.

Went shopping with my sister and nephews one year and ended up in a different aisle then them. My oldest nephew (6 or so at the time) decided to come look for me and when he found me he ran at me giggling. A woman in the aisle watched as he grabbed me around the knees then ran over to try pulling him away. Started going on about keeping my hands off children and that she was calling security. The whole time my nephew was clinging to me going "unk UNK UNK" (uncle). My sister heard the commotion, came over in full mama bear mode, and lit into the woman. That commotion than got security's attention who then booted the woman from the store for grabbing someone's kid.

So it's the one reassurance I can give... the truth will come out and it's not your husband who will have egg on his face, it is them. If they truly mean to "help" your child then authorities will rightly put the child back with your husband and if your husband tries to keep someone from "helping" his child... any authority figure will agree he was in the right. Those are the things I keep in mind when I remember I still look like a creep and now have my own 1 year old who'll soon be strolling through the world with me.
