Men shouldn't have to pay child support if they don't want the baby

I agree with you regarding men being more responsible for the act of having sex. Men need to picture every woman they sleep with as a possible mother of their childten. After all, it is a possibility, isn't it?

However, I disagree that restricting sexual relations between unmarried persons is ridiculous and that abortions are unproblematic. Both young men and young women need greater education regarding the consequences, not just packs of birth control and condoms. Contraceptives have a failure rate. While sex is wonderful, it's evolutionary purpose is procreation, not recreation.

Additionally, abortion is killing another being. The mother has this ultimate choice, but it isn't a choice to take lightly. Handling multiple unwanted pregnancies with abortions increases risks of some reproductive problems, and possibly psychological ones.

My whole point is that in communities, such as the one you described, someone has to do the dirty work of providing proper sexual education to the masses. While the theme of this post is men relinquishing parental rights as a part of mens equality, those laws haven't been passed and probably never will. That will mean a whole community of men will most likely be poor fathers due to unrestricted sexual activity, when they could have spent their time on more noble pursuits, such as education, fitness, and employment.
