A Mild Defense of South Park

It's just that he's fallen for the TIA mentality that feminism=extreme SJWs and that one should be humanist instead.

You gotta look at the environment they live in. If I took screenshots of every time a person who called themselves feminist said something racist or sexist and then tried to say "well I'm not racist/sexist because..." I could probably make a book with it. (Or one of those neat picture things that are made out of a bunch of other little tiny pictures.)

There's a lot of bad "SJW" types that crawl around the twitter and mostly just complain about white people, straight people, cis people, and americans. And I know, I'm a pussy, but they're bullies. (Again, I'm not talking about feminists, I'm talking about the radicals.)

And then you got places like Buzzfeed that pretty much say shit like any product for men is an example of "fragile masculinity" while any product for women is an example of women's individuality and if you criticize that, you're a pussy with a fwagile ego.

You have no idea how many purple-haired pasty-white narcissists have told me I'm a fragile little man because I disagreed with them about something. and what made me sad is that they call themselves feminists. And I can't just pull out my kilt and bagpipes and say "no true feminist" and pretend feminists are immune to the stigma. There's a serious problem with bullying within the movement that really impedes progress.

It's bullshit double standards that get tossed around by "mainstream" "feminists" who don't actually really do anything, they're just in it cause it's cool and the trendy thing to do that misrepresent feminism and make it look like a reincarnation of the emo/goth trend back in 2004. Feminism is a lot better than that, but all some people ever see is the bad. Joe Rogan most likely sees stuff like that and assumes the worst.

And it's hard not to. With any group. It's really hard to not look at the crazies and say "this is what they are". When you only look through a certain window, they're gonna see things one way. The problem is, those people are protected. You can't say shit or you "hate women". At least, that's how Joe Rogan would see it. That's how a lot of people would see it. It's sad, but it's unescapable. I have a lot of hope for feminism, but there are some flaws that need to be addressed. If you wanted, you could respond with #NotAllFeminists, but its a little ironic, don't you think?
