Millennial women are leaving their jobs more than their male counterparts and it isn't because they are becoming mothers. Better come back to the plantation fellas, or Hanna Rosin's superwomen may have to actually work for a living after their awesome college careers that they never shut up about.

The author of the study "examined the numbers through gender socialization theory, which claims that society puts certain expectations on people based on their gender from a very young age. Where women are more often expected to provide the majority of family care and raise children, men are expected to be the breadwinners and put work obligations before family. That was supported by the findings showing that women experience significantly higher rates of role overload, or feel that they are unable to complete their assigned duties in the work time allowed," notes the University of Kansas study.

Suprise suprise, women are having trouble dealing with stress and taking on the role of a man. I do not doubt the focus will be on the first sentence of the two reasons. "higher rates of role overload" at this point what more can they remove as mothers? In the west daycares are already raising the young, the food is pre made and ready to pop in the oven. I mean what role overload are we talking about? The whole function of raising children has been outsourced for profit.

The funny thing is men are seeing this role overload just as well, for example the article says "men are expected to be the breadwinners and put work obligations before family" however, if a modern man does so he gets criticized for not being with the family and a nurturing father and if he does nurture and put his family first he is criticized for not earning enough, or not working "hard enough". This double mind fuck, this confusion of gender roles must be comical to an alien species if they are watching us.

Even more interesting is the luxury she was provided by being able to depend on her spouse and go on sabbatical. If a man did so, his spouse will leave his ass. I guess that is one of our "privileges"

I know I am preaching to the choir, but, yeah. I am anxious for this movement to blow up in their faces.

Men provide, women nurture. Period.
