I stopped playing in October and just got back into Destiny this past weekend, so I admittedly don't know what nerf(s) were made to the Sunbreaker, but from what I remember, calling the pre-nerf Sunbreaker "powerful" is a gross understatement... it was stupidly OP.

Popping the Sunbreaker super was essentially like pulling out a rocket launcher that shot homing rockets and healed you, AND you got a giant overshield to boot. Some sort of nerf needed to happen, but knowing Bungie (and not knowing what the nerf is yet), I'm assuming they went way overboard and crippled the super altogether, which is stupid.

What should have happened is either the removal of the overshield OR a simple reduction in hammer damage, in my opinion. Leave everything the exact same, but make the hammers a two-hit kill from full HP instead of one, for instance.

As far as the Stormcaller goes, it's definitely really strong, but at least it has its limitations. It's not like popping Stormcaller is a guaranteed team-wipe or makes you some sort of invincible rocket-launching super-mobile tank. It's just like having a very short range machine gun that chains to nearby enemies.

But I get killed all the time during my super on my Stormcaller, because I'll float into a room where not all enemies are grouped together, or maybe there's a sniper nearby, or just by players using their primaries who are out of range at the moment.

I also kill Stormcallers 1v1 from range all the time with my primary/secondary, and that RARELY, if ever, happened with the old Sunbreaker, especially in 1v1 scenarios. In fact, I don't really see it happening with the current one either, but I've only been back playing for a few days.

I really don't like the idea of encouraging Bungie to continue nerfing everything we enjoy into oblivion. If the super is broken, then fix it. Don't go around nerfing everything else until it's as broken and useless as the thing you ruined originally.
