Also have extremely religious (Catholic) relatives. They're the "eat together Sunday", no meat Fridays, curing sickness with faith healing.

I remember when I was injured so much that I could barely walk, they thought it was a sign from God that I need to be more religious and get confirmed to the faith. So here was me walking with a crutch and a priest. During our time, I saw him throw away a King James Bible, which ironically made me start questioning things.

Ended up being the only one not confirmed in the entire family. Like you, I felt the weight of questioning the faith, and still do from time to time, although more from silently defying my parents than the faith itself.
