More than 60 women consider suing Google, claiming sexism and a pay gap - Scandal over discrimination at the company deepens as dozens of current and former staff say they earned less than men despite equal qualifications

Qualified women are just as qualified as men

Qualifications and resumes aren't everything. On average, the boys who get invested in tech usually start from a much younger age and are much more passionate about it than girls are; the boys are much more likely to participate in off-work tech related ventures (i.e. coding on the weekends, reading coding forums, staying up to date with the news). I'm not saying girls don't do this, it's just not to the same degree as the boys.

A systemic bias against women in leadership positions or ""masculine"" fields is hardly comparable to conventionally unattractive men not being considered conventionally attractive.

Please go ahead and tell this to all the incel men who have never felt any love in their lives before. Tell them that Stacey Whatsherface being given a leadership position is more important than their desire to feel appreciated as a human being for once in their lives. It's pretty offensive to downplay something like that. Everyone deserves to feel loved. When the overwhelming majority of men are "conventionally unattractive" to women you're going to breed a misogynistic social climate.

They see themselves reflected in positions of power everywhere.

So maybe there needs to be more women entrepreneurs then? If it's boys starting most of these companies then I feel like these complaints aren't that great, to be honest. There aren't enough risk-taking women who want to start their own companies, and take it to the point where it's successful. This is why I said we should be promoting strength among girls for the sake of future generations.

Girls who are penalized for having traditionally perceived leadership qualities are seen as shrill, or abrasive, or whatever.

We've gone over this: it's the Napoleon complex all over again. Most people don't like being bossed around by a smaller animal. There's no easy fix for this unless women magically start developing deeper voices, grow taller, and other more masculine traits. Girls like dating tall guys and despise short men, men desire to be tall and strong, you shouldn't be surprised these biases extend to the workplace. It's human nature.

There are just as many strong women as there are strong women.

I assume you mean men, and no, there aren't. That's a blatantly false statement. Women cannot excel as warriors, hunters, entrepreneurs, etc. to the same degree as men. Women desire physically strong men for partners to make up for their own physical weakness, so that they can have someone to protect them (even if only on a subconscious level).

The problem is that they aren't given the chance to be a leader

Stop asking for a chance to be a leader and just be one. Start your own business/group/empire/whatever. Stop demanding that men fork over control and encourage women to be more entrepreneurial.
