It's moronic Monday, your chance to ask any of those lingering questions without fear of harassment.

This isn't the typical advice question but more career related. Also not sure if this is the right place but any advice is appreciated.

I'm a college student graduating in May and set to begin my career as an actuary. I have accepted an amazing position to start this summer with a healthcare consulting firm in the Midwest.

That being said, I've always been interested in financial markets and investing, yet I have never known how my interests in math and analytics would transfer to a career in the finance field. I'm not your typical math geek that can't talk to people (I've held positions in a social fraternity including president). But at the same time I don't want to be in a sales position that isn't analytical.

So my question is, what types of positions exist in the financial world that might suit my interests? For someone that is graduating in a few months with a BS in actuarial science, is it too late for me? Are these types of positions all located around Wall St? Is the pay comparable to a consulting actuary? I have a very high gpa but I'm not at a "prestigious" school. Will that hurt my chances, or would I need to go to grad school?

I'm pretty happy with being an actuary, but with the end of my college career soon approaching I find myself exploring other possibilities to be sure I'm doing what I want.
