Do most jobs suck?

That sounds super cool. It' funny how being out in the field working with your hands can feel so freeing and working in an office can feel so ....socially uncomfortable? Maybe? That sounds like super interesting work though. And also good for the planet! I'm glad you've found something that fills your cup...even just a little. I feel that - it's really all about finding a place with the least amount of negatives, right? Every place will have a few.

it's honestly probably just my own mental health struggles. I'm a pretty low functioning person. I am super anxious and overthink everything. I worked in a very rough job a few years back. I was scared for my life as I was in customer facing customer support and there were some people coming in hot every single day. I am still dealing with lingering stress response/PTSD from the job. Always feeling hyprviligant and on edge. I was only getting paid $15. i should have never gone into it. Even just for a little. My current job is alright. But kinda a grind and I don't get paid as much as i'd like to live where i live. There's just a ton of gossip - i don't participate but I overheard a lot. And some pretty unhealthy people who are dealing with serious health issues due to years of overwork. It's a very intense culture with high level white collar workers.
