This is getting ridiculous now

You’re managing a place with tens of thousands of guests and a stroller parking section isn’t a silly thing but something people put thought into.

Short Disneyland trip story. This trip occurred when Radiator Springs Racers was brand new.

Disneyland policies are always changing, but a policy during this trip was that guests of any Disney hotel could have early entry to California Adventure to access a few rides. Guests of any Disney hotel were also allowed to enter and leave the park through the Grand Californian side gate.

One morning we entered CA though the GCH and walked past a partial rope to grab breakfast at the Starbucks near the CA entry. We then headed back to Soarin' which was one our early entry rides.

Meanwhile CA was about to do a partial opening to allow general ticket holders access to only Radiator Springs (the rest of the park was still closed to general tickets). The partial rope we had walked past earlier was now staffed and part of the crowd control funneling people to Radiator Springs.

As I wrote earlier, RCR was a brand new ride and these policies were also brand new. Whoever told the CMs not to let people past that rope didn't tell them to let Disney hotel guests head to Soarin'.

The CMs would not let us pass, but they did call over a manager who listened to our explanation. He immediately agree to let us past the rope.

My observation was that most CMs are not in a position to make decisions that go against "policy", but that the managers were quick to override a policy that didn't make sense for guest satisfaction.
