Do you think we'll see Magic Bands/FP+ at Disneyland in 2015? 2016? Ever?

I could see elements coming over, with some massive fundamental changes.

MyMagic+ is really custom tailored to Disney World. It fits in perfectly with out of town guests who plan their trip four months in advance with a week long stay.

People don't do Disneyland the way they do Disney World. The system at Disney World wouldn't work just copy and pasted over to Disneyland.

I can't see Magic Bands coming out west. With local crowds who come all the time and guests who for the most part stay one day, it's just extra jewelry that has to be set up by cast members and remembered to bring by guests. The Magic Band does nothing for us. We're not going to leave our wallet and keys in the hotel room. Most of us don't have hotel rooms. What I could see happening instead is placing RFID chips in our tickets so that we can tap those instead of a Magic Band. Therefore the system would work more like a bus pass in that instead of wearing the system, it goes into your wallet. For annual passholders this means one less thing to forget at home and for regular guests this means one less thing to sync up with the system. It already takes forever for an E ticket user to get into the parks with having to exchange for a paper pass and take a photo and everything, let's not throw in a Magic Band activation in there too.

I could see FP+ show up with a vastly changed ruleset. I'd love to be able to pick what area I want to see a show from with a more robust system. I'd love to see early reservations restricted, with a quarter of all Fastpass reservations not being unlocked until five hours before their return time.

There's tons of stuff that isn't at Disney World that I'd love to see as well with MyMagic+: recorded TSMM scores, Photopass on our smart phones, push notifications for Fastpass and dinner reservations.

Oh, and those favorite characters on our Annual Passholder profiles, let's use those someday.
