Weekly Park Questions/Advice Thread

No need to book Genie+ stuff ahead of time! You cannot book Genie+ Lightning Lanes until you're in the park, and if you're going early enough that you want to be one of the first people in (ropedropping), I would suggest you only start booking a couple hours in! This is because lines are very short when the park first opens. You might want to start booking Lightning Lanes when the return times are around 12-1pm, as that when crowds start to pick up.

I think arriving an hour and a half before the park opens should guarantee you closer to the front of the security lines. I wanna say security opens like 45 minutes before park opening? Then the front gates will start letting people in around a half hour before the park officially opens. They'll drop the ropes inside the park once it finally hits opening time.

You do not have to book your food in advance. Some restaurants are table service and require reservations, but I honestly wouldn't concern yourself with those restaurants, quick service food is pretty good enough on its own and you should enjoy your day in the park. It is strongly recommended to mobile order ahead of the time you're looking to eat, as standby lines can get pretty long.

Make sure you both download the Disneyland app! This is what gives you access to your tickets, Genie+, mobile ordering, etc.
