Move bitch, I'm a firetruck.

Several years ago, my Dad was told by a police officer to plow a truck out of the way. He had a snow removal business so he had a big commercial snowplow in front of his 1ton truck.

We lived in a very narrow dead-end street. Even in summer, if you parked a car on both side of the street a truck couldn't pass in the middle. In winter, with the snowbanks, even one car parked on the side rendered the street too narrow.

As luck would have it, we had a huge snowstorm one night that left big snowbanks. It was still snowing in the morning and the elderly neighbour two houses down from us fell down on a patch of ice and knocked herself unconscious. Another neighbour saw her and immediately called an ambulance. The ambulance got here in record time, but they couldn't pull in our street because someone was parked illegally. The cops also arrived in record time, but they didn't found the owner, and the closest towing available was 20min away. The paramedics walked to the lady and left the cop to deal with the street situation. My father was back home after his morning round. The neighbour informed the cops that the guy living at the end of the street had a huge pickup truck with a snowplow. They ran home and asked my father to come out to remove the illegally parked truck

At first my father tried to find a way to remove the truck with straps but the cops told him to hurry as the paramedics decided the lady needed urgent transport NOW. They would deal with the damage later and swore my Dad wouldn't be in any legal trouble of whatsoever. So he put his plow in the other truck and plowed it back all the way to the intersection. Caused quite a bit of damage to the front end, but nothing structural.

The truck owner got off with a nice stack of tickets but at least he had the decency of feeling guilty. The elderly woman survived but never came to live back home. She had serious brain damage that left her incapacitated but at her age any fall of that kind is big trouble, even if they had gotten to the hospital a bit quicker it wouldn't have changed much.
