SO happy the MTQ was so much fun this year. I think most of us are really into this group. My reactions:
Acid Betty - I've seen things from Acid Betty here or there for a few years, and was really excited to get to know her in the reality TV format. Her look is so harsh, it was nice to see how approachable her personality was in the MTQ. Her look is probably too specific for her to make it to top 3 . . . but I really hope that she goes far. Her looks are going to be absolutely stunning.
Bob The Drag Queen - She's amazing, nuff said. I think the level of pre-show hype up in this sub is evidence enough that she has great star potential. MTQ just leaves me wanting more more more.
Chi Chi Devayne - I'm surprised by the level of hate she's getting! Honestly, I thought her MTQ was hilarious, which I wasn't expecting. I love her paint and mug, too. Gives me Roxxy vibes.
Cynthia Lee Fontaine - Like a lot of us, I was very pleasantly surprised by Cyn-tee-a. Great energy, great voice, great look. Also, our first openly bisexual queen? I'm also impressed she has a YouTube series moving already. Excited for more Cynthia!
Derrick Barry - I've been following Derrick for a while, and was happy that he was coming off more Courtney Act than Chad Michaels. I'm with Dax in that I don't care about Britney looks, but every season needs its ~professional queen~ and I'm ready for Derrick to slay me.
DAX! - I knew she was a nerd queen, so somehow wasn't ready for her to be so confident and well-spoken. Maybe even a bit of a villain for the season? I think she seems very versatile, and might go a lot further than some of us are expecting. Also, she looks totally great in her MTQ styling.
Kim Chi - I wasn't feeling Kim in the off-season buzz, but I was sold by the MTQ. I love a smart queen, and she seems really clever. I think she will be out faster than I want, possibly, since I can't see her doing well in an acting challenge or a dance challenge. But, I'd love for her to continue surprising me. Her personality in the MTQ comes off as, for a lack of better words, extremely cute.
Laila McQueen - Was happy there was a bitch in the mix I wasn't expecting. I love Laila's look and energy. Her MTQ edit (or just answers) was really weirdly negative. Maybe she realizes she isn't going to make it too far lol.
Naomi Smalls - Gimme more Naomi!!! I am absolutely hypnotized by her. For such a young queen to be dripping with confidence and polish is amazing. She can do funny, too. I hope she goes far. She has insane legs, too.
Naysha Lopez - I like that she seems bouncy. Definitely has a cute look, but was pretty boring to me.
Robbie Turner - Didn't get much from the MTQ. Hopefully she will have a little bit more charm and energy on the show. I wish they would get a grungier west coast queen up on the show. Robbie has a ton of experience and success, so I'm sure there is more to see from her.
Thorgy Thor - This is the one I truly don't get. Her personality completely rubbed me the wrong way in the MTQ. Like a humblebrag embodied. I know she's been working for a long time, so I'm sure she has lots of tricks up her sleeves, but just from the MTQ I'm not too interested.
