If you wanna talk to someone and pay them money that is your freedom to do so. Just because it functionally a religion doesn't mean it wouldn't help a person (or cause them to go even more bonkers).

As far as what a group likes to call itself is projection. It's your money, give it to to the shaman, the priest, the preacher, a con-man, the horoscope reader....they're the same person-FUNCTIONALLY. I don't have a problem with that. My issue is that until a certain number of adherents to a group is found, it is not subsidized by tax payers. After the literal "Magic Number" is hit, we all have to pay money so that some delusion is promulgated at the cost of the paycheck. NOT FAIR.
