My [30F] mom [60sF] acts like my sister's [29F] dogs are her grandchildren.

To be clear, I think it's fine if she does not want to wait for a plumber at my place.

Honestly, when I help my mom I mostly just want her attention. I'm kinda the black sheep of the family and try really hard to get my family to appreciate me even if I am a gay, liberal, atheist. My mom has literally told me before that she must have done something wrong in raising me. I'm trying so hard to be a good daughter though even if she disagrees with all of my "choices".

I do try to ask my mom what she wants to do when we spend time together. I usually stop by at some point during the weekend (kinda on my schedule, I call to talk about it/work out a weekend plan) . I ask her what she wants to do.
