I'm in med school and in my experience with foreign med grads gunning for a US residency is different. Sure, the USMLE is a multiple choice exam that youre scored on. But you still go through the Match for residency with US med students. Is he just not applying for the Match because he thinks his USMLE is too low? Med students match into programs with CRAZY low scores though? The Match is a ranked system but they take into account way more stuff than just a score?
