My Albo has put out some gorgeous leaves since I posted last

Yeah... I don't think they function exactly as advertised. They suggest using a self-watering planter with the wick, but I'm not planning to ever do self-watering...

I have a wick in mine, but only to the bottom of the totem. I use it as a way to get water into the center of the pole, but that's about it. I've written to them about it not staying moist very long, but I'm not sure what else they can really do. They came up with a new idea based on my feedback (using something like a drip line to water more frequently), but they never followed up on that.

All I do is just water them when I water my plants. It takes a while to get them hydrated (and dries out sooner than the soil needs watered), but that seems to be doing great for my regular monstera (which is much taller).

I learned you can't really fully rehydrate them between soil watering without risking over-watering plants, so if I really want to water the roots between I just do it lightly with a spray-bottle around the aerial roots only.
