My brother was barely old enough to remember 9/11 but I wasn't. I always heard about how devistating it was, but theres so much more undeserved death now than then.

9/11 was indescribably worse than what we deal with with this covid-19 pandemic. 9/11 was an incredibly violent, horrendous day filled with burning people, emergency workers crushed to death under falling concrete and twisted metal, healthy people on routine travel flights making heartbreaking last phone calls as they know they are hurtling towards death at 400 miles an hour, people jumping hundreds of feet to their painful, terrifying deaths to escape being burned to death 100s of stories up. This is an illness and old and already sick people are dying at a faster rate than normal. The regular flu also kills many people every year. As does cancer. Many people will get Covid and recover. 9/11 was a brutal, shocking, unexpected, horrifying attack on the collective psyche of America's civilian citizens crafted by a team and executed with profoundly sociopathic serenity. This is nothing like 9/11. I am sad that people who did not live through it are unaware of just how horrific it was. I suggest they watch some YouTube videos of the planes flying into the buildings and take a minute to understand that it's actual, real footage and not a special effect from a film.
