My first bike!

I purchased this 2004 Suzuki gs500f with 16k on the clock in November 2014 for $900 off craigslist. I figured it would be a good bike to teach myself a ton of mechanical nonsense about as well as fulfill my dream of riding. I thought a small renovation fund would and some elbow grease would get me rollin. Turns out i did more than I had planned! If you'd like to see this machine in action, I have a YouTube channel called Moteva Moto. After all of the mods and maintenance, the motorcycle is a new machine. They aren't the fastest, but they are fun! I think I have about $1,600 total into the bike. I've gotta say that after 9,500 miles, I'm satisfied!

What I've done: -Carb Adjustment and Cleaning -Fixed Fuel Petcock (On/Reserve Swapped) -New battery and overflow hose -LED Turn signals -New 75w 7" Lantsun LED headlight (had to change connectors on light to enable parking leds -New chain and sprockets (520 D.I.D. Chain 17t/39t ratio) -New chain guide -New Continental Road Attack 2 Evo Rear Tire (150/70/Z17) -Pressed Floating rear caliper brake arm to accommodate rear tire rubbing (stock is 20mm less width) -Painted exhaust gloss black with POR 20 anti rust coating -New EBC HH Sinstered front & rear brake pads -New front wheel bearing -Changed valve shims for exhaust and intake valves -Rebuilt forks (Seals and Oil) -Lowered rear of bike half an inch with billet aluminum drop links -New 3" bar end mirrors along with a new flat drag bar -Chopped rear fender and remounted license plate -Cleaned and removed fairings -New NGK Spark plugs -Chopped the chain guard -Removal of center stand (not permanent) -New air filter -Oil changes every 2500 miles -Really thorough cleaning of bike and parts -Cleaned and adjusted steering stem bearing/collar -Removal of a crap ton of distasteful stickers
