My husband (40) just threatened to leave me (F/39) because I told him that while I understand he regrets being a Dad, he needs to suck it up and stop avoiding our child and being cold to them (4). I don't want to be a single mother - I regret it too and would be left to do it all

I've never once told someone that. Ever.

Her indifference to her child will Fuck. Them. Up. For the rest of their life. They will seek put relationships at the best, from people who are indifferent towards them and thir feelings and at worst people who are directly abusive.

This is an autonomous person that OP had a fairy tale about. I'm sorry but I don't buy into the fallacy that because someone else told them it would be worth it, they didn't realize the mental, physical, and emotional sacrifices to raise a whole human from birth. and that now they regret it.

At best OP is delusional and selfish. She has plenty of people coddling her. I will not be one.
